About
Formed in Seattle, WA, Kings and Queens is a rock band led by singer/songwriter and bassist, John Terjeson. The sound is a convergence of passionate vocals mixed with bass-driven strings, over the backdrop of a rock anthem.
The 2018 EP, Convergence, debuted a taste of the symphonic rock sound, in acoustic form. The 2025 full-length album, This is Where I See You, is a tapestry of upbeat anthems, passionate ballads, bass soundscapes, and melodic vocals. The upright bass is a featured instrument throughout, exploring the duet of strings and the powerful punch of rock drums and guitars.
On The Netherlands Tour in 2019, Kings and Queens performed throughout the country, including asylum seekers’ centers with those taking refuge from horrendous circumstances. The band is passionate about partnering with anti-human trafficking efforts for those who have suffered injustice and devastation—singing for the one whose voice has been covered up, ready to emerge as royalty.
